Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has submitted a transfer request, according to the strikers agent Nick Rubery. The free-scoring hitman, whose goal knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup last weekend, is out of contract in the summer.
Beckford has impressed for Leeds this season with 16 league goals from 21 starts after rejecting fresh terms at the start of the season.
Leeds have always maintained the 26 year old would see out the season at Elland Road, however, the striker's stance could now force their hand.
