Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has confirmed the interest of Manchester United and Barcelona in want-away fullback Philipp Lahm.

Bild says the Champions League semifinals are both actively pursuing Lahm, who rejected a new contract offer from Bayern earlier this month.

Beckenbauer said: "Philipp should not leave at the end of the season. He should honour his contract. If he is to leave, then he will join either Barcelona or Manchester United."
