Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer admits they're prepared to sell Manchester United and Chelsea target Franck Ribery.

Only days after chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge reiterated that they intended to keep him and that their refusal to discuss a transfer fee was not a way of pushing the price up, Beckenbauer has contradicted him by admitting that a sale is an issue.

His words will come as an invite to Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid to commence an auction for his services.

"We discussed the issue at our last board meeting and we all agreed that, if he really wants to leave, then we will deal with the issue," Beckenbauer told Sport Bild magazine.
