Beattie had scored five goals in 15 games for Neil Warnock’s men, most recently in their 3-0 win against Southampton on Monday night.
He hopes that the spell at Selhurst Park will put him back on Tony Mowbray’s first-team radar.
“I would like to think that it has been successful,” said Beattie.
“I have been on a good goal trail recently, I think it was three goals in five games, but unfortunately for Palace – but it might turn out to be fortunate for me – I have been recalled due to an injury at West Brom and there is nothing anyone can do about that.
“As it stands I am a West Brom player and they decide what happens.
“At the same time I am looking forward to getting there and having a crack in the Premiership.”
