After being recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace, Craig Beattie is determined to prove his worth at West Brom.

Beattie had scored five goals in 15 games for Neil Warnock's men, most recently in their 3-0 win against Southampton on Monday night.

He hopes that the spell at Selhurst Park will put him back on Tony Mowbray's first-team radar.

"I would like to think that it has been successful," said Beattie.

"I have been on a good goal trail recently, I think it was three goals in five games, but unfortunately for Palace - but it might turn out to be fortunate for me - I have been recalled due to an injury at West Brom and there is nothing anyone can do about that.

"As it stands I am a West Brom player and they decide what happens.

"At the same time I am looking forward to getting there and having a crack in the Premiership."
