James Beattie has hailed the influence Stoke City's fans had on their successful Premiership campaign this season.
The former Sheffield United striker told The Sentinel: "I always go back to the Man City game, my first home match, when it was a shock in a pleasurable way to see how much the fans could help us.
"I enjoy being a part of Stoke City and I hope the fans enjoy having me here.
"It's great to show your appreciation to the fans and I think they know how much we think of them.
"Stoke is another chapter in my career and one I am enjoying. I'm looking forward to next season already - after a small game next week."
Beattie also paid tribute to Tony Pulis for taking the plunge on the 31-year-old striker's services during the January transfer window.
"He's done a tremendous job," he asserted. "I can only go off what I have seen of him and he has been outstanding with me.
"He's got me to play some good football. He's worked on a tight budget, made a couple of signings in January and they have worked for him. That's what good managers do.
"His heart and soul is in Stoke City."
