Beattie confident of Stoke survival

Stoke City striker James Beattie has the confidence and belief that the Potters can remain in the top flight this season.

Beattie, who moved to the Britannia Stadium from Sheffield United at the end of the January transfer window and has scored twice in his first three matches at his new club, says that Stoke has the players to survive.

"We want to stay in the Premier League and I'll be doing everything I can do to make sure that happens," he said.

"Everyone in this room knows the situation the club is in. It's not going to be easy but I believe that we can do it.

"Some top, top teams have come to the Britannia and been turned over. The talent we have in the dressing room is more than enough to stay in the league."
