Beasley: MLS must keep Beckham

USA striker DaMarcus Beasley has stated that should David Beckham leave LA Galaxy for AC Milan, MLS as a league will take it as a big blow. Rangers attacker Beasley told Soccer365: "David Beckham is still playing at a high level, especially with the national team, and maybe he needs that extra desire to play. It's good for him. I don't know him personally but it will be a big disappointment for MLS if he does go.

"But you have to respect his decision because it is AC Milan. If he does go, I wish him the best. From what he has said, his family has enjoyed the whole LA lifestyle and he has enjoyed his time in LA. But I'm sure he is making the right decision.

"It would be a big loss but MLS would cope. It coped before without him and it will cope if he does decide to stay with AC Milan. MLS is a strong league and it has been around for a while now. We have more teams now, more stadiums being built and more big players coming in so I think we will be fine. But it would be a big loss of we lose our ambassador for MLS."
