Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni is desperate to see a move to Roma happen.

Toni is expected to return to Italy on New Year's Day although nothing regarding his move to Roma has been made official.

Toni said: "I hope to have a great six months here in Rome. I am pumped up.

"I want this situation and in the end it has to be this situation. I am absolutely convinced that I will be with Roma by January 2."
