Thomas Muller has told German media he will not be joining Manchester United this summer, turning down an offer to reunite with former manager Louis van Gaal.

The Bayern Munich and German star confirmed he did receive an offer from United, but insisted his future remains with the Bundesliga champions.

"When you get an offer you consider it automatically," Muller told Sport Bild.

"A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good. But I feel fine at Bayern and my contract runs until 2019. There is nothing more to say about this speculation." It has been reported that United tabled a £120million offer to Muller combining fees and wages over five years.
