Bayern Munich to set Everton deadline to do Baines business

Bayern Munich have set Everton a deadline to accept their offer for Leighton Baines.

Bayern chief Christian Nerlinger made a personal check on Baines in Everton's victory at Manchester City on Monday.

The German giants are willing to go to £12 million for the defender, but want an answer from Everton by mid-January.

A source at the Allianz Arena told talkSPORT: "Bayern want to move quickly. With the training camp in early January, there will be a definitive answer on Baines by then. They don't want to hang around."
