Bayern Munich's Muller reveals he rejected Chelsea move

Thomas Muller has revealed that he turned down an offer from Chelsea to remain with Bayern Munich following the 2010 World Cup.

The 22-year old German international won the Golden Boot award at the South Africa tournament and was much sought after in the wake of the competition but admits he was happy to remain with Bundesliga giants Bayern to further his development.

"After the World Cup I refused several offers, including one from Chelsea," he told Sport-Bild. "It was an honour because this does not happen every day.

"But I did not think it made sense to make the move at such a young age.

"A change would have been nonsense after my first year as a pro. At my age you have to play.

"I simply feel comfortable here," he added. "You can almost say that I'm 'living' FC Bayern."
