Bayern Munich are eyeing Everton fullback Leighton Baines.

The Daily Mail says the 27-year-old has established himself as one of the best full backs in the Premier League and is valued by the Toffees at £15million.

Bayern do not have a specialist left-back - with young Austrian midfielder David Alaba filling in there for most of the season - and manager Jupp Heynckes sees Baines as the ideal man to come in.

Manchester United are also keeping an eye on the situation, although Sir Alex Ferguson's need is not as great as Bayern's given that Patrice Evra is still in his prime as a defender at 31.
