Bayern Munich are launching a bid for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The Daily Mail says Bayern are prepared to offer a £5million-a-year deal with a licence to recruit French and African players in the same manner he has with Arsenal.

That will also be backed with the cash to bankroll lucrative contracts and big-name signings.

Wenger is renowned for his loyalty, having spurned advances from Real Madrid and Barcelona. He is still contracted to Arsenal until 2011 and has hinted recently that he would be prepared to extend that deal.
