Bayern Munich are chasing Everton midfielder Stephen Pienaar.

The Sunday Times says Bayern are considering a bid for Everton's Pienaar as they prepare for the expected exit of Franck Ribery this summer.

Peinaar's contract, like Ribery's, enters its final year at the end of this season. The South Africa midfielder, inset, has been unimpressed so far by Everton's attempts to retain him. He rejected a contract extension last summer that represented an effective pay cut after changes in UK income tax.
