Bayern Munich are set to beat English interest for released Notts County goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The Dane, 23, son of Manchester United legend Peter, has been offered a move to the Bundesliga giants after being told he can quit League Two champions Notts County.

A County source told The Sun: "Bayern have been in contact and it looks as if they are willing to offer Kasper a deal."

Birmingham, West Brom and Derby are also keen to land him.
