Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

The Sun says Leon Goretzka has reportedly signed a contract to join German champions Bayern Munich, this will allow out of favour Portuguese youngster Sanches to join Manchester United this summer.

The youngster only completed his first 90 minutes for the club in last weeks victory over Darmstadt and Carlo Ancelotti admitted he expects more from the midfielder next season as reports flood in linking Sanches to a move to Manchester United.

Before victory over RB Leipzig, Ancelotti said: “Renato Sanches has his first season here. For such young players it is often difficult to get used to.

“But of course we expect more from him. We must be patient with him. He will have more chances to play next season. He will stay here."
