Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez insists he has nothing to prove to Real Madrid.

Bayern and Real will face-off in the Champions League semifinals, with James available to face his parent club.

Asked about silencing his critics at Real, James told AS: "I do not think about that, only to help my companions with my play and to do my bit so that we can undertake the trip to Kiev. We want to get into the final and so we will go against Real Madrid. The rest does not matter.

"I have not spoken to anyone (at Real). The opportunity to speak with them will come, but not now."

He added: "Of course, these two games are something very special for me. I played there for three years, I was happy and I had everything there. I left mostly friends and good memories. It's something very nice, but I only think about my team and will prepare in the best possible way."
