Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out a Bayern Munich return for Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The 32-year-old midfielder is being heavily linked with a Manchester United exit just a year after joining from the German giants but a homecoming to the Allianz Arena is not a possibility according to Ancelotti.
"In football there is no if," the Italian said.
"(Signing) Schweinsteiger is not in our ideas.
"He was a fantastic player for Bayern, he was a fantastic player for football, but I think that it is not time for him to come back to Munich."
Schweinsteiger was recently ordered by Jose Mourinho to clear out his locker in the senior dressing room and train with the reserves, indicating he does not feature in the Portuguese manager's plans this season and beyond.
