Bayern Munich invest in American youth

Bayern Munich have entered into a partnership with Global Premier Soccer (GPS), a network of youth soccer clubs across the United States, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The exclusive partnership will see the Bundesliga club's youth academy coaches provide soccer clinics and coaching to more than 55,000 kids and 5,000 coaches in the GPS network, which spans more than 75 clubs across 11 states.

Coaching clinics will be administered through twice-monthly tutorials and a monthly conference call for GPS technical staff. Bayern will also establish a web of scouts on the ground in the US that will be tasked with identifying the next generation of talent.

Rudolf Vidal, the managing director of FC Bayern Munich US, said: "We are excited to partner with GPS, a leader in the youth soccer space, on this first of many initiatives we will be undertaking to foster a deeper connection with our millions of fans living in the States, and all soccer fans in the US."
