German giants Bayern Munich admit they are interested in Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

The 22-year old Denmark international is currently frustrated at a lack of opportunities given to him by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger following his return from injury.

Recent reports suggest that Bayern are keen on the former Birmingham City loanee and Franz Beckenbauer, who is on the advisory board at Allianz Arena, admits that he is a player of interest.

"Yes, he is among some players, who have done very well - both for Denmark and for his club, and who has got the class and the potential to play in a club like Bayern Munich, where we already have a lot of class players,” the German legend said.

Bendtner has stated that he may have to seriously consider a move away from Emirates Stadium if things don’t improve soon.

"If the situation doesn't chance - if I keep sitting on the bench at Arsenal I must leave. It's as simple as that,” the Dane said.
