Bayern Munich face competition from Chelsea for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal.

German sources say Bayern are chasing the Chile international as a replacement for veteran midfielder Mark van Bommel.

However, Chelsea are also keen on Vidal, whose defensive qualities would add steel to Carlo Ancelotti's midfield.

Vidal recently signed a new deal with Bayer through to 2014.
