The Daily Mail says Bayern have shelved their pursuit of Manchester City defender Boateng.
Bayern claim they were offering £7million for the Germany international and have been put off by a £17.5m asking price, although City insist Boateng was never for sale in the first place.
The 22-year-old joined City from Hamburg for £10.5m last summer, but his first season in the Premier League was disrupted by knee injuries.
