Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels says they cannot underestimate Champions League opponents Arsenal.

The Bundesliga champions host the Gunners in the first leg of their last 16 tie on February 15 before travelling to the Emirates on March 7.

But despite having a month without competitive fixtures, Bayern defender Hummels does not believe his side will be in better shape than their opponents.

"I think that it won't affect both teams at this early stage," Hummels said.

"We and Arsenal will have our rhythm and until then we have three compulsory games.

"So I think that it won't have an impact that they didn't have a winter break."
