Former Manchester City defender Boateng, 23, accused the Blues of “barricading themselves” in their own penalty area as they saw off Barcelona in the semis.
Boateng, who left City in a £12m deal last summer, said: “There is no special recipe for beating Chelsea.
“But I don’t believe they will play the Champions League final the same way as they did against Barcelona.
“They won’t use all 11 men to barricade themselves in their own penalty area. I’ll leave it up to our scouts to draw up a plan.
