Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has told his former Manchester City teammates to forget about winning the Champions League this season.

The Germany defender claims the Bundesliga side have much more unity than Roberto Mancini's squad and is convinced City will not reach the final.

Boateng, 23, said: "The team did not have the same togetherness. I don't see them in the final.

"They have a large squad but there are better teams in the competition."
