German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich feel that they will come to an agreement with Manchester City for Jerome Boateng.

The 22-year old defender endured a tough first season in the Premier League, making just 16 appearances due to injuries and form issues.

Bayern are keen to bring Boateng back to Germany and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Kicker that he is confident of completing a deal for the former Hamburg man.

"I believe that there is a chance that we will come to an agreement. We will have to play a waiting game and this is not something which will be resolved in the next two or three days," he said.
