Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes admits a deal for Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is not yet closed.

Goretzka, off contract in June, is said to have already agreed terms with Bayern - ahead of the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal.

But Heynckes insists nothing has been settled.

"We have to wait, there are still Spaniards in the race," said the veteran coach.

"My assistant Hermann worked with him at Schalke, he is an intelligent person and knows exactly what is best for him."

Schalke chief Christian Heidel also denied the claims earlier this week.
