Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti has explained turning down a return to AC Milan.

Ancelotti was linked with a return to Milan after his sacking at Real Madrid.

“It's always special to play against Milan," the Bayern Munich Coach said.

“It was my home for many years. I have good memories, it will always be a special club for me.

“Why didn't I go back? It's a decision I took wisely, I needed a few months of rest and that's why I didn't make the commitment to Coach the Rossoneri again."
