Bayern Munich will make an offer for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov in the summer.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star is wanted at Bayern as a replacement for Miroslav Klose, who is leaving on a free transfer.
Bayern may also cash in on Mario Gomes, so clearing the way for Bayern to guarantee Berbatov he will be first-choice should he agree to return to the Bundesliga.
Berbatov has just over a year to run on his current deal and is waiting to discuss new terms.
The player's agent last week insisted the striker was keen to play out his career at Old Trafford.
