Bayern Munich chief Matthias Sammer is full of praise for two of their Premier League transfer targets. Bayern have been linked with Liverpool contract rebel Raheem Sterling and Manchester United winger Angel di Maria.

Asked about the pair on Sky Germany, Sammer refused to shut down the speculation.

"They're both wonderful players," was his reply.

"We will select players carefully who can help us. We'll do it in a calm way and with the right research."
