Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge warns Real Madrid of Lewandowski price

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is adamant Robert Lewandowski is not for sale.

The Pole remains a target for Real Madrid.

"We have a completely different philosophy to other clubs," the German told Tz.

"With Franck [Ribery], we had this problem when Chelsea and Real were after him. Franck also showed cravings, but we told him that we would not sell.

"And now he is one of the happiest footballers in the world, because he has found his home in Bavaria and Munich. I think he too is glad that we made that decision.

"With players, one must show a clear attitude. [Lewandowski] also wanted to move on, but we told him that we wouldn't allow it.

"We are totally satisfied with the player, there are few that compare to him in his position, and so it is not in our interest to hand him over; no matter if someone puts 100m or 150m euros on the table.

"Since we decided with Franck in 2008 that we won't open the exit door, that is our mantra: The top quality players we have at our disposal, remain with Bayern Munich."
