Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge slams Ozil agents: They talk too much

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has taken aim at the agent of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Rummenigge is angry over claims of racism inside German football for the reasons behind Ozil's international retirement last week.

He told BILD: "He has not been criticised because he is of Turkish descent. This is a fable told by his advisors.

"That's getting on my nerves anyway: The consultants give today more and more statements and interviews. This is partly like a lesson in fairy tales.

"The whole discussion I think is a phantom debate, which has nothing to do with racism in its origin. Mesut Özil took a picture with one, yes, persona non grata. That's it. Everything could have been nipped in the bud quickly.

"Instead, it became a balloon which went higher and higher."
