Bayern Munich chief Rummenigge rules out move for Arsenal star Alexis

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has categorically stated that Bayern Munich will not be pursuing Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez this summer.

The long-term future of Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal has been cause for much speculation this summer and the Chilean international has dropped a huge hint that he will be looking to leave the Emirates Stadium imminently.

Bayern Munich have been widely touted to make a swoop for Sanchez but Rummenigge has insisted that such a move is not taking place as he feels that the club does not need to sign new attacking players following the arrival of James Rodriguez.

He said: "I do not know what he said, we are no longer involved. We've agreed with the coach that there will be no more additions in attack. That makes no sense."
