Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was happy to take a dig at Manchester City yesterday.
Prior to Bayern's thumping Champions League win, Rummenigge had a swipe at the English club's spending.
"Bayern Munich is autonomous, self-financed. Manchester City has a sheik," said the Bayern chairman. "We are confident we're the more sensible club.
"We've been playing for a few years now in the Champions League, we are treated respectfully. Yet we are now taken a lot more seriously after winning the Champions League. We're the hunted.
"Perhaps this is why not a single club has won the Champions League twice in a row."
