Bayern Munich chief Christian Nerlinger has cooled talk of a swap involving Thomas Muller for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.

Bayern are interested in the Bosnia international, which has sparked talk of City asking for Muller in part-exchange.

"That's ridiculous," snapped Nerlinger when the proposal was put to him last night.
