Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness says Real Madrid and Barcelona have an unfair advantage in the transfer market. "The best players in Spain only pay half the taxes that the rest of the players in Europe have to do," said Hoeness, referring to the 25 per cent tax rate for footballers in Spain.
The Bayern supremo would love to see UEFA doing something about the situation, but accepts they are powerless.
Instead, he's hoping that the Spanish public will eventually grow tired of the advantages their footballers enjoy.
Hoeness added: "A worker with an annual income of 50,000 must pay 30 percent tax and will not accept for long that a player who earns €10 million a year need only pay 25 percent."
