Bayern Munich chief Hoeness dismisses Arsenal competition for Gotze

Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness insists they can beat Arsenal for Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Mario Gotze.

The Gunners failed with a €40 million bid for the 19 year-old in the final days of the summer market.

Bayern are also keen and Hoeness said: "I'm not worried, if one day we are interested and he is still playing well, we'll talk.

"An offer of €40 million from Arsenal? We have already rejected one offer of more than €80 million for Franck Ribery. We are a football club, not a bank."
