Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has taken aim at the Glazers of Manchester United. Hoeness accused American billionaire Malcolm Glazer of having no interest in football and simply trying to make money out of the club.
"Before Mr Glazer bought Manchester United, he didn't know there was air in the ball," said Hoeness. "That's not something that I accept. His target is making money."
Hoeness also criticised Glazer for saddling United with the debt from an £800million takeover in 2005 as he called on UEFA to enforce the new rules over financial fair play.
"But what did he do? He bought the club and said, "I don't have the money how can we finance it?" That's something I never accept."He added: "I would accept Mr Glazer immediately if he said, "okay the price of Manchester United is £800m - that's my money, my risk and now we are working'.
