Bayern Munich want to bring Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack back to the Bundesliga.

The Mirror says Ballack, 32, has a one-year contract extension option when his current deal expires this summer.

But Chelsea want him to take a pay cut and renegotiate his £131,000-a-week contract, based around incentives for games played and on-field success.

That has alerted his former club Bayern where boss Jurgen Klinsmann is a huge fan of the Germany captain.
