Bayern Munich assure Muller 'job for life' to ward off Man Utd

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is doing everything he can to convince Thomas Muller to stay.

Muller remains a €100 million target for Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, who gave the 25 year-old his first team debut while in charge of Bayern.

But Rummenigge has urged the Germany striker to be a 'one club man'.

"I have the feeling that Thomas is in Bavaria for life and will never leave," the chairman told BILD.

"When Thomas one day quits his playing career, we want to integrate him into the club in a different role. He is completely comfortable in Munich.

"I do not think our fans have to worry about him."
