Paul Clement has turned down a role on England manager Sam Allardyce's coaching staff.
The 42-year-old is wanted by the new Three Lions boss and had been contemplating a part-time job with the Football Association but has since declined due to his commitments as Bayern Munich assistant coach.
Former Derby County boss Clement teamed up with his former Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid mentor Carlo Ancelotti in Munich earlier this summer and will remain in his role as Bayern number two on a full-time basis rather than juggle his duties with an England coaching role.
"It is true the England team would have liked to have had me as assistant coach," Clement told Sport Bild.
"There was an inquiry, and it is a huge honour.
"I thought about it but there is so much to do at Bayern that it is incompatible. That's why, after consulting with the team, I turned it down."
