Bayern fans 0-1 Lufthansa!

Hundreds of Bayern Munich fans attempting to return to Germany from Tuesday's Champions League tie at Manchester United face travel misery after a strike by a German air firm, reports the Manchester Evening News. Supporters who watched their team draw 1-1 at Old Trafford on Tuesday were stranded at Manchester Airport on Wednesday due to industrial action by Lufthansa. The industrial action, due to last until Friday night, is thought to be affecting around 600 people at the airport. Flights to Munich and Frankfurt have been cancelled.

While one chartered supporters' flight did leave around 02:00 BST, carrying around 250 passengers, four have been cancelled on Wednesday with 10 more called off over Thursday and Friday.
