Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness is confident Willy Sagnol will stay with the German giants.
Sagnol, after sitting on the bench for 90 minutes against Wolfsburg on Saturday, said he wanted to leave during the winter transfer period.
He has yet to make an appearance for the first team since injuring his knee in April with coach Ottmar Hitzfeld forcing him instead to play two games for the reserves to build up his fitness levels.
"You cannot take it all that seriously," Hoeness told Kicker magazine. "I know Willy and he is a very emotional person. Yesterday he wanted to leave, today he wants to stay and tomorrow he will want a new contract."
