Bayer Leverkusen see Manchester United keeper Kuszczak as Adler cover

Bayer Leverkusen are stepping up their move for Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak .

The Daily Mail says Kuszczak is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen as a replacement for the injured Rene Adler.

The Poland international is seen as a short-term replacement for Adler, who sustained tendon damage in a pre-season game against Red Bull Salzburg last week and underwent surgery that will rule him out for six months.

Leverkusen are looking for a temporary alternative and Kuszczak is one of the names on their short-list.
