Bayer Leverkusen's Ballack likely to reject possible MLS move

Michael Ballack looks likely to turn down a proposed move to Major League Soccer.

Earlier this season, the former Chelsea star looked set to leave German club Bayer Leverkusen with his agent, Michael Becker, suggesting he would be on his way to North America.

But since the departure of Robin Dutt as Leverkusen manager, who has been replaced by Sami Hyypia, Ballack is back in favour at the BayArena and has indicated that his agent's comments were far too premature.

"If there is anything to report, I'll do that and not my agent," Ballack told BILD.

"I am the player. There is always speculation about everything, even by my agent. I think that's unfortunate."
