Robbie Kruse has been named the Football Media Association (FMA) International Player of the Year for 2012/13.
The 25-year old Bayer Leverkusen winger capped a tremendous season by winning another individual award to add to the Professional Footballers' Australia Footballer of the Year prize he clinched last week.
Kruse was a key part of the Socceroos side which qualified for the 2014 World Cup and has also been impressive for Leverkusen after joining from Fortuna Dusseldorf in April this year.
"My club form has been good. My debut (when he scored twice) was really good but I probably haven't started in as many games as I would have liked," Kruse said.
"But I am at a massive club so you know it's not easy walking into a starting spot. I have a German international and a very high-priced transfer player playing in front of me.
"I'm thrilled with where I'm at and I'm thrilled with the path that I have taken. I have progressed as a footballer on and off the pitch as well."
