Chelsea's move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle has stepped up. The Daily Express says reports suggest representatives of Leverkusen were in attendance at Wembley yesterday to discuss a £20m move for Schurrle.

Roman Abramovich made two bids to sign the 22-year-old last summer, but finally looks set to land the forward during this summer's transfer window.

On-loan winger Kevin De Bruyne has been suggested as a possible makeweight in the deal, having impressed in the Bundesliga this season with Werder Bremen.
