Bayer Leverkusen have beaten Leicester City to the signing of Aleksandar Dragovic from Dynamo Kiev.

The 25-year-old, who was interesting Leicester, has penned a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club and said he is looking forward to making the step up in class.

"Kiev for me was a real important stage in my career, but now the Bundesliga excites me as one of the best leagues in the world," Dragovic said on the Leverkusen website.

Dragovic, capped 38 times by Austria, joined Dynamo from Basel in 2013, having started his career with hometown club Austria Vienna.
