Chelsea have missed out on Germany Under-19 international Julian Brandt.
Wolfsburg had previously insisted that Brandt would not leave before next summer but Bayer Leverkusen have pounced to land the forward from their Bundesliga rivals.
The Chelsea target will join Leverkusen on a five-and-a-half year deal next month.
