Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller admits they're powerless from keeping Bernd Leno if a club meets their buyout clause.
Atletico Madrid and Napoli have been linked with the Germany international.
“This is all just speculation," Voller told Kicker.
“Nothing is decided yet. It's true there's a release clause though, so if someone paid it there's nothing we could do about it."
The release clause in Leno's contract is believed to be set at €25m.
